Hours PhD
The reference daily hours are between 8h45 to 16h45. Moreover, it is forbidden to arrive before 7h00 and leave after 19h30. The obligatory presence ranges are 9h30 - 11h30 and 14h00 – 16h00.
Medical wing
Every 2 years, a medical examination is organized by the medical service IFPEN. By appointment, we have the opportunity to obtain vaccines. The Medical Service stopped issuing sport certificates, needed to use the gym, you need to consult your personal physician.
Hours Rueil-Malmaison
The medical wing is open Monday to Thursday from 08h30 to 17h30 and Friday from 08h30 to 16h00.
Solaize schedules
The medical wing is open daily from 08h30 to 17h00. During the holidays no permanence is assured on Wednesday and sometimes on Friday.
Libraries and Databases
As a newcomer in your PhD project, building the bibliography on which the research will be based and using the library will be one of your first tasks. There different centers of existing documentation IFPEN that you can find on the intranet.
Works council
The website containing all the activities oriented around work at IFPEN in Rueil-Malmaison or Solaize is available from the internal server for the CE of Rueil-Malmaison and the CE of Solaize. PhD students, as IFPEN employees are entitled to most of the benefits provided by the EC. The EC commissions offer a variety of activities: Cultural Commission (Media, guitar lessons, etc.), sports (ASIP / ALSIP, skiing, hiking, sailing ...) and aid holidays. Ask about the "family holiday" subsidy which also concerns doctoral students (reimbursement of part of the holiday cost). Subscription opens in October.
Media
Rueil
At the disposal to all on the first floor in IFP School. Open Tuesday and Friday from 12h15 to 13h45. The annual subscription is € 20 and is done on site. A large number of CDs, DVDs, books proposed for the loan.
Solaize
The library is also available to all, open Tuesday and Friday from 12h30 to 13h30 and is located between the canteen and Alumina building. Rental of CD / DVD / video / gaming cassette is free. The loan is 3 weeks for games and two weeks for the rest. You will be asked € 1 per item per week of delay.
Clubs and club Housing
Rueil
Among other clubs, a DIY Club is in place, one can borrow equipment for home.
Solaize
DIY equipment rental is possible in Solaize. The amount and term of the loan varies per article.
Shows
Solaize
Shows, theaters and other events can be reimbursed at 25% and once per year to 50%. Reduced rates for cinema tickets or attending football games are also available.
Sports Association IFPEN
Doctoral students may participate in activities proposed by ASIP. Registration for an activity is done through the disciplinary officer. An assessment and a medical certificate is required. For information there is a website or contact ASIP's secretariat in 6155 and heading for Rueil-Malmaison ALSIP the EC website for Solaize.
